Sono nato nel 1962 a Farnham, Hampshire, Inghilterra. Ho vissuto in diversi posti prima di trasferirmi a Southampton vicino alla costa meridionale, dove ho vissuto prima di arruolarmi nell'esercito britannico.
Ho lasciato la scuola nel 1979 e, nel giro di un mese, sono entrato a far parte dei Royal Green Jackets a Winchester; dopo aver completato la formazione si è unito a 3RGJ a Cambridge. Ho continuato a prestare servizio fino al 1989.
Nel 2017 mi è stato diagnosticato un disturbo da stress post-traumatico da tre eventi pericolosi per la vita durante il mio servizio. Come parte del mio trattamento al Combat Stress, qualcuno mi ha suggerito di iniziare a scrivere.
Ho sempre scritto brevi lavori che non passano mai oltre la stampante, scrivendo i primi due libri sulla crociera come amo la crociera.
Durante il mio ultimo soggiorno di due settimane al Combat Stress nell'aprile 2019, ho scritto il mio primo libro in assoluto sulla poesia intitolato "Poetry from the PTSD Mind", che accompagna il lettore in un viaggio dai brutti tempi al bene.
Quando il mondo è stato bloccato nel 2020, ho passato il tempo a scrivere la prima serie di Covert-Ops Danger in Paradise, seguita un anno dopo da Danger on the Island. Poi, nel 2022, è stato pubblicato il terzo libro della serie, The Golden Camel.
